Description

From the fertile soils of central Asia, an unfermented tea with a smooth and delicate flavour, a hint of tartness and a brilliant yellow colour. Traditionally enjoyed without milk and sugar.

Eilles pyramid-shaped tea bags or ‘Tea Diamonds’ have a filigree weave that gives leaf and broken tea the necessary room for maximum contact with water. The elegant Tea Diamond® is easy to use and drips less than conventional tea bags.

Packaged in a beautiful card fliptop box, Eilles diamond tea bags also make a very special gift.

In 1873 Joseph Eilles opened the first Eilles specialist store in Munich, selling the finest coffees, teas, wines and confectionery. Eilles was uncompromising when it came to quality and, no matter how good, nothing was ever good enough for him. Eilles quickly became purveyor to the Bavarian Court of Ludwig II and is still hailed as one of the founders of tea culture in Munich.

Today, Eilles tea is sourced from the best tea plantations around the world. The selection is vast because tea is cultivated in more than 40 countries. Many great tea varieties come from China. Northern India is known for the Darjeeling area with 73 plantations at altitudes of up to 2,000 metres, northeastern India for the Assam region and its strong black teas, and southern India for its Nilgiri teas. Sri Lanka is one of the world’s leading exporters of tea. Japan is famous for its green tea and Africa for its Rooibos (red bush) herbal tea.
