To understand Kühne’s history, we have to go all the way back to 1722, Berlin. Frederick William I was king of Prussia and Berlin was an aspiring residence. Johannn Daniel Epinius founded a small vinegar distillery which, 40 years later, passed into the hands of Friedrich Wilhelm Kühne, the next in line.
